U9 Volunteer Positions
Bow River is a community-run program that is run by volunteers. To deliver a quality program we need you to volunteer your time and skills. Here are the volunteer positions we need to fill:
Volunteer Positions
- U9 Registrar
- Manage and monitor the registrations
- Familiarity with computers required
- Multi-tasking and good organizational skills an asset
- Larger workload
- Gyms
- Work with the Bow River facilities group to set game gyms
- Small workload
- Equipment
- Work with the Bow River Equipment team to order the required shirts and other equipment
- Deliver the equipment to the coaches
- Small workload
- U9 Jr Tykes Coordinator
- Work with the registrar to identify the number of teams
- Identify coaches
- Divide players onto teams
- communication between the Bow River organization and the U9 program
- Set game schedule
- Larger workload
- U9 Sr Tyke Coordinator
- Work with the registrar to identify the number of teams
- Identify coaches
- Divide the players into teams
- Communication between the Bow River organization and the U9 program
- Set the game schedule
- Larger workload
- U9 Jr & Sr Tyke Gym Monitors
- We will need 16 Jr Tyke and 16 Sr Tylke parents to volunteer as gym monitors
- These parents will ensure that the school use rules are being respected
- Parents will be assigned on a rotation
- Parent assignments will coincide with their game time and school

- Coach
- You will be responsible for the training and development of your team
- No experience required, we will provide training and support as required
- Medium workload
- Assistant Coach
- You will be responsible to assist the head coach
- No experience required
- Small workload
- Team Manager
- You will help the coach with team communication and team building activities
- Small workload
When you register you will be asked to pick up a volunteer activity. We appreciate your willingness to work with the program to make it great for the kids.
