Players will have 2-4 Days of evaluations (Based on Number of players per age group), which will be based on combination of skills and ability and team play. Full Evaluation process can be found on the Bow River website. |
Q: When will we know what team athletes will be on? |
Players and Parents should be notified by the designated team coach or the age group coordinator, 3-4 days after the completion of Evaluations. |
Q: When will parents know the teams practice schedules? |
Practice Schedules will be available once evaluations are completed, teams are created. Timing of practices will be based on availability of the Head Coach. |
Q: Do we practice only in the Southeast part of the City? |
The majority of the practices are located in the Southeast sections of the city, within our community boundaries. |
Q: How Can I volunteer as a Coach / Assistant Coach / Team Manager? |

Q: What qualifications / Clearances are needed to be a coach? |
Coaches are required to provide and complete the following: - Police Clearance check (EPIC) - Complete Safe Sport Training program (Free - CMBA Website) - Read and Review the Introduction to CMBA Coaching (CMBA Website) - Complete required on-court and off court session provided by CMBA |

Q: What is the schedule for CMBA Fall/Winter League |
The Season for U11-U15 athletes is from September to early March, with an extended break around the Christmas holiday season. U18 Athletes have two seasons. (Fall: Sept-Mid Nov) (Winter: Jan - Early March) |
Q: Does Bow River offer Spring League Programming? |
No Typically Bow River only runs from September to March in conjunction with the CMBA Community basketball season |
